Guguna Hot Spring Park

Guguan Hot Spring Park, located in Guguan Scenic Area, is equipped with a foot bath pool for guests to relax for free. There are 2 old suspension bridges and one is known as Guguan Suspension Bridge. It is the most representative suspension bridge in Gugguan and also a famous spot. There is “Shaolai Suspension Bridge” close to Guguan Post Office. Guguan is a spot of happiness. “Shaolai” implies blessing to travelers. Guguan hot spring is said to increase your chances of conceiving a boy. We hope that all travelers can find physical and psychological well-being here.

Li Leng Bridge
Around 26 km road of Central Cross-Island Highway, Boai Village of Heping Dist. of Taichung City
Distance from resort: 7.5 km, 9 minutes by car
Li Leng Tribe is located around 26 km road of Central Cross-Island Highway, 10 km from Guguan. Make a right turn at the red Li Leng Bridge, a new landmark of Central Cross-Island Highway, to see the Li Leng tribe at the intersection of Dajia River and Le Leng River. The tribe is with mountains on the back, the sea in the front, and pleasant weather.

Shaolaishan Trail
Around 28 km road of Dasyueshan Forest-Road in Heping Dist. of Taichung City
Distance from resort: 58.6 km, 1 hour 26 minutes by car
The Yuanzuishan and Shaolaishan trails are national pathways maintained by the Council of Agriculture. It is officially named “Yuanzui-Shaolai National Trail.” It is 5.5 km long and mileposts are established for every 0.25 km. The well-maintained trails are suitable for mountain climbing or hiking. Most people will not get lost in the trails. Shaolaishan is located around 3.2 km of the trail. The trail starts from the toll and is 2.3 km long. -
Songhe Tribe
Around 29 km of Provincial Highway 8 in Heping Dist. of Taichung City
Distance from resort: 4.6 km, 6 minutes by car
Songhe was known for “Gu La Si” and “Jiu Liang Xi” and was the home to the Atayal people. “De Fu Lan” is an Atayal name, meaning fertile land and livable. After restoration by the KMT government, it can be seen that many egrets come here to search for food. The way they fly looks like white cranes dancing so the place was renamed “Songhe.”
The Songhe tribe on the bank of Dajia River is located on a river terrace. Nowadays, it is the home to aboriginals, Hokkiens, Hakkas and mainlanders. A row of houses made of Chinese cypress (former dormitory for employees of the Council of Agriculture) sits in Linchang Alley of the community. It is the most well-protected historical building of Baxianshan forest Farm, which used to be one of the top 3 forest farms in Taiwan.

Baxianshan National Forest Recreation Area

Distance from resort: 3.3 km, 8 minutes by car
Baxianshan National Forest Recreation Area is located in Heping Dist. of Taichung City. The main peak is at the altitude of 2,366 m or 8,000 chi so the mountain earns the name of “Baxian.” In the forests, travelers will find lush woods, pleasant weather and the flowing Shi Wen River and Jia Bao River. The rivers originate in deep forests and are crystal clear with rocks scattered, murmuring and babbling around. Baxianshan National Forest Recreation Area is rich in natural and ecological resources and used to be in the top 3 forest farms of Taiwan. Full of forestry cultural elements, Baxianshan is an ideal place for nature-based recreation!

Bai Lu Suspension Bridge
Intersection of Sec. 2 and 3, (Entrance of Bai Lu Lane) Dongguan Rd., Heping Dist., Taichung City

With secluded location, natural hot spring and abundant produce, Guguan is the Xanadu of Taichung. We welcome you to see the magnificence of Bai Lu Suspension Bridge and enjoy the natural beauty of Guguan.
The 250 m long bridge not only is an important landmark for locals but also serves the purpose of connection. It is also an ideal entrance or exit for climbing “Baimaoshan,” one of the top 7 mountains of Guguan. The renovated bridge is strong and durable. The white deer image on the end of the bridge adds more delicate characteristics. The bridge over Dajia river surrounded by the mountain earns itself the fame of “the most beautiful long bridge in Taichung.”
